I’m saying it now: if Roger Deakins doesn’t win an Oscar for his work here, I’ll slap each and every member of the Academy that didn’t vote for him. I don’t care how much it costs.
Following yesterday’s Wonder Woman trailer drop, Warner Bros have kept that momentum going by debuting the first full trailer for the upcoming Denis Villenueve film, Blade Runner 2049. Not much really needs to be said other than the fact that we get our first look at Jared Leto’s character who seems to have wondered off the set of Ghost in the Shell (he found himself on a better sci fi movie).
Ryan Gosling is as broodingly and annoyingly handsome as ever, and Harrison Ford returns as Deckard, although a little crankier.
Blade Runner 2049 will hit cinemas this October. Academy, don’t screw this up.
